Where to Begin
The most difficult part of planning is the beginning. Here, you probably don’t know what you want. It’s going to take some research. That’s why you begin with the basics.
Budget
The wedding budget is important. An initial ballpark budget informs your choices. Make sure to communicate this early on to avoid misguided expectations. Also, try to get base pricing before meeting vendors. It saves everyone time and energy in the long run.
A good budget means being flexible. For example, falling in love with a specific photographer is common. So don’t think twice about reallocating funds from one area to another. The photos will last forever–tablecloths not so much.
The Day Of
You’ve made it to the big day. It’s time to tie the knot and enjoy. But enjoying the day means being prepared. So budget for a coordinator or ask a trusted friend. That way you aren’t keeping track of logistics and can focus on yourselves and the special day.
