Wedding Day Tux or Suit?
A big choice for any groom is figuring out what to wear. Similar to picking out a wedding dress, the tux or suit decision is an important one. Making the right decision requires knowing the differences between the two. Jeanne Yang, celebrity stylist, takes us through the best occasions to wear each based on her styling experiences, so that you’re on your way to making the right choice for your big day.[/su_column]
The Wedding Day Tux
A tuxedo is as formal as it gets. Created with satin lapels, buttons and a stripe down the pant leg, it’s the classic wedding look. It’ll have you feeling special, just like your bride.
The Wedding Day Suit
The suit is less formal than the tux but is still an elegant choice. With an array of colors and styles, the suit offers versatility in pockets, material, lining, lapels and more that can be customized.
When to Wear What
Fitting in with the surroundings of your wedding is important, and there are a lot of factors that go into finding the perfect look. One factor is the tone of dress that the bride is wearing. If her dress is a true white, you can go with a blue suit. If she’s going with an eggshell white, that calls for a black tux. While the big day is filled with must-dos and don’ts, these are merely guidelines to keep in mind when making decisions. Remember to wear something that you wouldn’t have an excuse to wear any other time.
