At Men\u2019s Wearhouse, we are committed to serving those who have served. This year, Men\u2019s Wearhouse is commemorating Veterans Day in a special way. We dressed four veterans, Tim, Chris, Eddie, and John and heard about their remarkable journeys with the non-profit organizations they benefited from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fisher House Foundation<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Fisher House Foundation provides a cost-free place of stay for military and veteran families when a family member is receiving care at the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim benefited greatly from the program at Fisher House. He shared, \u201cFisher House supported myself and my family while I as being treated for my cancer treatment at David Grant hospital at Travis Air Force base\u2026 I was there for 8 weeks, and they supplied me with a place to stay during the entire time I was in treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On being dressed by Men\u2019s Wearhouse, Tim was grateful, saying, \u201cThey just took care of me just like I was a millionaire that walked in.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Hire Heroes<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hire Heroes provides job support to U.S. military members, veterans and military spouses. Veteran Chris wants to start a new career in the police force and shared, \u201cTransition from military to civilian life has been a little difficult. It\u2019s a big culture change. Hire Heroes has helped ease that transition by providing me a resume and a mock interview for the next step in the career I\u2019m looking for.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further shared, \u201cThey (Hire Heroes) put me in contact with a veteran and current police officer and he had the ins and outs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the new suit he received from Men\u2019s Wearhouse, Chris said, \u201cThis Men\u2019s Wearhouse Suit makes me feel very confident and considering it\u2019s the first suit I\u2019ve ever owned. I don\u2019t know what I look good in but they (retail staff at Men\u2019s Wearhouse) did. So, they helped pick it all out for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

K9s For Warriors<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

K9s For Warriors supplies military veterans who are grappling with PTSD with expertly trained Service Dogs. By primarily utilizing rescued dogs, this initiative enables the K9\/Warrior pairs to establish a steadfast connection that greatly aids in their mutual healing and rehabilitation efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veteran John shared, \u201cThe service dog provided by K9s for Warriors has definitely positively impacted my life. It\u2019s given me a sense of purpose of structure and motivation to go out there a whole lot more things that I was just not doing before I had him. The bond with Odie and I was probably almost immediate. As soon as I saw him it almost brought a tear to my eye.\u201d John shared that Odie helps keep his PTSD, hypervigilance and anxiety in check.
 
On the suit, John shared, \u201cThe outfit that Men\u2019s Wearhouse provided me gives me a real elevated sense of confidence. I feel like suits are powerful.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Semper Fi Fund <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Semper Fi & American\u2019s Fund supports injured service members, veterans and military families through providing support and assistance to injured, conducting Post-Traumatic Growth programs and providing consistent care to retired service members. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Veteran, Eddie shares that \u201cThe Semper Fi and America\u2019s funds to me are a collection of angels. There are resources that I\u2019ve been able to access. Neuro-fitness programs to give you tools to mitigate stress and to learn how to live happily and comfortably in this new world that I\u2019m in with my injuries and circumstances.\u201d 
 
On a new suit from Men\u2019s Wearhouse, \u201cWearing a new suit from the Men\u2019s Wearhouse, it feels good. People do judge a book by its cover sometimes unfortunately. So, you might as well have shiny book.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
