    How do I minimize moth and insect damage to my tailored clothing?

    It's a fact of life: Bugs happen. And it's always a huge bummer to pull your favorite sweater or suit out of storage only to find that some moth has been snacking on it. Here's how to help look after your clothes and prevent such mishaps.

    Dry cleaning

    Dry cleaning is an excellent technique for preventing insect damage. This works for two reasons:

    1. Moths and silverfish don't like dry cleaning solution, so they will most often stay away from clothing for up to four weeks after it's returned from the cleaner.
    2. Moths and silverfish tend to settle on soil spots, especially food spots. In other words, it isn't that they simply eat anything in the closet. They prefer clothing that has at least a light soiling to the spot they select. By design, the cleaning process removes these. Cedar hangers and blocks

    It isn't a good idea to dry clean clothing too frequently. The way to prevent insect damage is to hang garments on cedar hangers. Moths and silverfish are repelled by cedar. This is why cedar-lined closets are a selling point in homes and also why so many quality chests of drawers are made from or lined with this fragrant wood. Another strong possibility is to use cedar blocks that hang from the hangers. As with cedar hangers, these cedar blocks offer much of the benefit of moth balls without the unfortunate moth ball smell.

    Mothballs

    As a third option, you can also use moth balls, which are simply left in the pockets of the suits and slacks hanging in the closet. For most people, the smell of mothballs that stays in their clothes far outweighs the bug-repelling benefits. No one wants to smell like moth balls.

    Professional exterminators

    Finally, if moths and the like are a real problem, consider professional extermination to cut down on the insect population in your home. Professional exterminators can eliminate most of the silverfish and crawling fabric eaters. However, this process often seems to be less successful than cedar or moth balls in controlling and repelling moths, and protecting your clothes.

If you have a Men?s Wearhouse eGift Card, your card number and PIN were located in the email we sent you when your Men?s Wearhouse eGift Card was first received.

    What Are The Gift Card Terms and Contidions?

    The Men's Wearhouse Gift Cards and eGift Cards are redeemable online or at any Men's Wearhouse or Men?s Wearhouse and Tux store, and Men?s Wearhouse Outlet stores for the purchase of merchandise and in-store services with the following restrictions:

    How much time is required to complete an application?

    The time for completion will vary according to the amount of information that you enter. Typically, an application will require about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

    Can I enter more than one application, and can I apply for more than one position?

    In most cases there is probably no need for you to enter more than one application. Our managers look at your qualifications and will consider you for the position for which you are best qualified. However, if you are willing to work at stores in different parts of the country, then you would want to enter applications for each area.

    What is a session time-out?

    I forgot my Password. What do I do?

    Click on Log In/Register, and then click on Forgot My Password. In the Password Assistance dialog box, enter your e-mail address. Your Password Hint Question will then be displayed to you, and you will be prompted to enter the answer to that question. After entering the answer, click on the Submit Answer button. If your answer is correct, you will be e-mailed a new password within five minutes. Upon receiving the password, you can then access the Sign In/Register page to enter your e-mail address and new password.     What are the Perfect Fit rewards certificate terms of use?

    Rewards certificates may be used only once and must be surrendered at time of purchase. They are valid for a period of six months after issuance for purchases and services from Men?s Wearhouse, Men?s Wearhouse & Tux, Men?s Wearhouse Outlet, and online at menswearhouse.com (collectively ?MW?). No more than five rewards certificates can be redeemed in a single online transaction. Rewards certificate cannot be used for special orders, layaway purchases, taxes, shipping and handling charges, or toward the purchase of gift cards or TwinHill® catalog merchandise. Rewards certificates are not redeemable for cash or credit and may not be applied toward payment of Perfect Fit credit card account balances.     How often can I expect to receive my rewards certificates?

    How do I exchange a purchase?

    You can exchange a purchase at any Men's Wearhouse store nationwide.     What is your store return and exchange policy?

    If you are not completely satisfied, you may return or exchange your purchase within 90 days from the original date of purchase (returns after 90 days are eligible to receive an in-store credit only).

    All returns/exchanges must be accompanied by the original receipt* and any refunds will be made in the original form of payment. Merchandise purchased on a credit card will be refunded to the original card only. Best efforts will be made to refund merchandise purchased on a debit card to the original card. Any amount refunded or credited will be reduced by the pro rata amount of any Perfect Fit rewards certificates or other savings promotions used to purchase the returned/exchanged merchandise.

    All refunds require customer name, address and phone number. Any refunds over $50 for non-credit or debit card purchases which could not be refunded to the original card will be paid to you with a check issued from our corporate offices. If register funds are unavailable for refunds under $50, a check will be issued from our corporate offices. All checks will be issued within 10 (ten) business days.

    Returns/exchanges on altered or worn clothing are subject to store management?s sole discretion.

    We realize that some of our customers' clothing needs more (or less) tailoring than does the clothing of other customers. Therefore, we do not build a flat or inflated fee for tailoring into our clothing prices and then offer our customers "Free Tailoring". Instead we only charge you for the work that our tailors do on your clothing. Remember: each seam our tailors work on and that you pay for once, is guaranteed for free re-alterations, within the limitations of the garment, if you gain a few pounds or lose weight!

    About garment care/damage prevention

    Even the sharpest of wardrobes requires some fine-tuning from time to time. Styles change, things wear out, and to keep you looking your best, a little maintenance is needed. Here are some general guidelines:

    Suits and Sport Coats

    Typically, a well-made suit with regular (once a week) wear should last around five years. This will depend on your line of work and dry cleaning intervals.

    Shirts and ties

    These are usually made of less durable fabrics - cotton, polyester, silk - and, at least in the case of shirts, are laundered more often. With regular wear, shirts usually last around two years; after that the fabric thins, collars fray, crispness fades, and perspiration erodes.

    As for your ties, their "closet life" depends on their wear intervals. If you don't snag, wear, stain or dry clean them too often, ties can last a decade. Whether they sport a pattern that will stay fashionable for a decade is another story. Widths and pattern preferences change, so when in doubt, take a look at what's being sold in the stores and see if your old faves are somewhat similar.

    Footwear

    Shoes also have a closet life that ranges from one to three years. The factors involved in wearing out a shoe include wear intervals, sizing, gait, whether or not you use cedar shoe trees, ground surface conditions, and weather - to name the most common.

    The best way to increase the closet life of your shoes is to own several pairs and rotate them daily. When they're not on your feet, fill them with cedar shoetrees. Shoetrees will draw out the perspiration from the leather, keep the leather softer, and help to retain the shape of your shoe. The more shoes you own and the more care you give them, the longer they will last.

    The style of your pant alterations is completely up to your personal taste. If you need a starting point, however, flat-front pants are generally hemmed and pleated-front pants are generally cuffed.

     
    How do I measure my inseam?

    Take a pair of pants that fit you well, with a similar style to the pair you are buying:

    • Lay the pants on their side on a flat surface, keeping the legs together.
    • Fold one leg up, wover the waistband.
    • Locate the spot where the seam on the leg intersects the seam on the crotch.
    • From that point, take the measurement straight down the seam to the bottom of the pant.
     
    When will my Online Tailoring order arrive?

    Online Tailoring orders will ship within seven to nine business days of the order being placed. Orders placed M-F by 3 pm EST begin processing the same day. Orders placed after 3 pm EST on Fridays, weekends and holidays will be processed the next business day.

    What is the standard width of the cuff? Can this be modified?

    The width of a standard cuff is 1.5 inches. If you would like a different width on your cuffs, we recommend taking your pants to the Men's Wearhouse nearest you, where they will gladly perform the alterations.

     
    Can I get my suit pants hemmed with Online Tailoring?

    At this time, we are unable to alter your suit pants through Online Tailoring. If you desire to have your suit pants tailored, please visit the Men's Wearhouse nearest you.

     
    Can you tailor the hem with a slanted hem?

    At this time, we are unable to offer slanted hems through Online Tailoring. If you are interested in slanted hems for a pair of pants you've ordered from us online, we recommend taking them to the Men's Wearhouse nearest you, where they will gladly perform the alterations.

    Why is tracking information not available for my package on the carrier's website?

    Sometimes the shipping carrier's first scan of the package isn't until it arrives at the regional hub or is out for delivery. Until this scan occurs, the carrier may not acknowledge receipt of the package. This is more common during high volume shipping periods like the holidays.

    When can I wear a white dinner jacket?

    The usual timeframe for wearing white dinner jackets is Memorial Day through Labor Day, and a strict traditionalist would tell you that you they should only be worn during the day, not in the evening. In fact, the traditionalist might even go so far as to tell you that if the event extends into the evening, you should change out of your white dinner jacket and into a black tuxedo coat at 5:00 or 6:00 P.M. However, as conventions today are less stringent than in the past, it is generally considered acceptable to wear a white jacket throughout the entire event. If your wedding party members will be wearing white jackets, we recommend that you ask the gentlemen to bring their jackets to the wedding in clothing bags and have the wedding photographs taken before the ceremony. The white jackets attract everything that isn't white, like makeup, punch, food?you get the idea.

     
    Should my prom outfit match my date's dress?

    Matching your prom date's dress can be a nice touch, but it is certainly not mandatory. Of course, your date might think otherwise, so you should check with her. When matching, you should only incorporate the color of your date's dress into your accessories, namely your tuxedo tie and vest or cummerbund (or your dress shirt and tie if you're wearing a suit). Your clothing (meaning your tuxedo, suit, sport coat, etc.) should most definitely not match the color of your date's dress, unless your date's dress happens to be white or black.

     
    Should all members of a wedding party wear matching tuxedos?

    Yes, it is very important that all men in a wedding party wear matching tuxedos. However, many brides prefer to have the groom wear a different style or color tuxedo. While this is an option, we suggest that you take a more subtle approach and select a different color for the groom's accessories (vest and tie). Our guess is that even if the groom is dressed the same as all the other groomsmen, the bride will still be able to identify him.

     
    Who should wear a tuxedo at my wedding?

    A good rule of thumb is to have all the men you want in your wedding photos wear tuxedos. Obviously the groom and his attendants should be in tuxedos, but you should also consider other family members, including fathers, brothers and grandfathers, as well as the ushers. You may also want to have entertainers, photographers and videographers wear tuxedos as well.

    What happens if the tuxedo does not fit?

    Men's Wearhouse stores have a tailor shop on site for minor alterations (such as adjusting the sleeve or trouser length). In the event that an item needs to be re-ordered, Men's Wearhouse will do everything possible to arrange for the item to arrive in the store by the event date.

     
    When do I pay for the tuxedo? / Tuxedo Rental Payment Schedule

    Men's Wearhouse will ask for a $20 down payment to reserve the tuxedo, and the balance is due upon pick-up.

     
    Tuxedo Rental Deposit

    For an individual rental we require a minimum deposit of $20 at the time you book your order. For weddings and other group rentals, we require a minimum deposit of $40 for the group. Additionally, each member of the group is required to pay the individual deposit of $20. For each tuxedo rented there is non-refundable damage fee of $7.

     
    What if some wedding party members live in another city or out of state? How do I get them fitted?

    When you register your wedding party we will assign a group number to the wedding party and assign a reservation number to each member of the party who will be renting a tuxedo. Any member of the wedding party can then go into any Men's Wearhouse or Men's Wearhouse and Tux store across the country and provide the employees on duty with the group number. We'll take care of the rest. After your group number has been assigned, you can visit our online Group Manager to monitor the fitting process or send personalized reminders to your group members.     EXTENDED RENTAL PRICING OPTIONS

    Extended rental prices are automatically calculated at the time of order entry based on the pick-up and return dates set for each reservation. The prices will be adjusted based on the following parameters: Regular rental price: The difference between the pick-up and return date is 4 days or less. Rental + 1/2 the rental price: The difference between the pick-up and return date is between 7 and 12 days. Double the rental price: The difference between the pick-up and return date is between 13 and 18 days.

    ADDITIONAL CHARGES THAT ARE OR MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH RENTALS

    • Deposit for wedding group (placed by wedding couple): Per group $40.00
    • Deposit for individual rentals and group members: Per order $20.00
    • Damage and Handling Fee (mandatory and non-refundable): Per order $8.00
      • A $8.00 non-refundable and mandatory Damage and Handling Fee is automatically added to your rental. The fee covers the cost of minor repairs to the rental, and the costs associated with the inspection, quality control, and processing of the rental. If we determine that a rental is damaged beyond repair, or if a rental is not returned, you will also be charged the full replacement cost of the item(s).
    • Rush Order Fee: Per order $20.00
      • An order is considered committed only after you have been fitted, final measurements taken, and funds paid toward your individual rental. The Rush Order Fee applies in the following circumstances:
      • Wedding party members (orders committed less than 14 days before the event)
      • Individuals (orders committed less than 7 days before the event)
    • Style Change Order Fee (style changes made less than 14 days before the event):Per order $20.00
    • Late Return Fee: Per day $20.00.
      • Applies when the rental is not returned by the close of business on the scheduled return date.
    • Cancellation Fee/No-Shows
      • Wedding groups: Per group $40.00
      • Individuals: Per order $20.00

    Whether an individual renter or part of a group, any rental cancelled less than 14 days before the event date is subject to a $20 cancellation fee. (Exception: if entire wedding group is cancelled, the $40 deposit is forfeited.) If a customer fails to cancel a rental prior to the event date, they agree to forfeit any and all amounts paid. Replacement Cost is charged per item lost or damaged beyond repair. Taxes Prices do not include applicable taxes, which will be charged to the order. Taxes are based on where a rental is picked up. Any necessary adjustments to your rental cost will be made at the time you pick up the rental.

    PROPERTY LEFT IN RENTAL

    We are not responsible for any personal property left in a returned rental or garment bag.

    RETURN POLICY FOR RENTALS

    Returns back to the original form of payment can be made up to 180 days from transaction date. Best efforts will be made to process refunds (a) on a debit card, and/or (b) to the original credit card after 180 days. Any amount refunded or credited will be reduced by the pro rata amount of any Perfect Fit® rewards certificates, discounts, or other dollar-off promotions used toward the rental. If we cannot process the refund back to the original form of tender, or if we have insufficient funds in the register, then you may take your refund in the form of store credit (gift card), or a check will be issued from our corporate offices within 10 business days.

    LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    At time of rental pick up please allow adequate time to review and try on your rental to ensure accuracy and fit. Our total liability for any claim or litigation arising from or related to the rental garments is limited to the rental charges actually paid by customer.
