2009 National Suit Drive Results
Despite the current economic downturn, individuals, businesses and community organizations throughout the country were there to support the men in need during the 2009 National Suit Drive. This year, our suit drive was only one month, but we were still able to collect 72,000 items during that timeframe (more than our first month of collections in 2008). This indicates that although many people are going through financially challenging times, they are willing to give back to members of their community that are struggling even more. In addition to the suits, sport coats, dress slacks, shirts, ties, shoes and accessories donated by thousands of people, we were proud to match the suit donations by donating over 16,500 new ties to the 200-plus nonprofit partner organizations. With a suit and new tie to complete their outfits, thousands of men will be prepared for the interviewing process as they strive for gainful employment.

2008 National Suit Drive Results
Due to generous contributions from over 27,000 individuals, businesses and community organizations, our Men's Wearhouse store locations collected 125,000 items of gently used professional clothing. The Men's Wearhouse matched each of the 35,000 suit donations with a new dress shirt to be given to every suit recipient. All of the suits, sport coats, dress slacks, shirts, ties, shoes and accessories collected were given to clients of job training and employment programs offered by the Nonprofit organizations we aligned with across the country.
On behalf of Men's Wearhouse, our nonprofit organizations and the thousands of clients they serve, we sincerely express our thanks to everyone who donated their gently used professional clothing. As a result of this generosity, many underserved men will look and feel great as they prepare for job interviews. See the complete list of 2008 community partners.
"The outpouring of donations from the community was heartwarming and life changing. We received well over 1,000 items including, suits, slacks, sport coats, shirts, ties, belts, shoes and coats. Additionally, we were able to provide clothing for approximately 300 men in transition." - Linda Strickland-Wyatt, Action for A Better Community, Inc.
