| Should all tuxedos match for a wedding party? Yes, it is very important that all men in a wedding party wear matching tuxedos. However, many brides prefer to have the groom wear a different style or color tuxedo. While this is an option, we suggest that you take a more subtle approach and select a different color for the groom's accessories (vest and tie). Our guess is that even if the groom is dressed the same as all the other groomsmen, the bride will still be able to identify him. | – back to top | |
|
| Should I rent or should I purchase a tuxedo? Fortunately, Men's Wearhouse gives you both options. As a rule, if you expect to wear a tuxedo more than two or three times in the next few years, it might be more economical to buy your own tuxedo. | – back to top | |

| How far in advance should I rent my tuxedo? We recommend that you contact the store nearest you and schedule an appointment as soon as you know of an event for which you will need a tuxedo. The minimum time required is 14 days before the event is scheduled. | – back to top | |

| Should the wedding party wear vests or cummerbunds? This is a matter of personal preference. Currently formal vests are much more popular than cummerbunds, so we recommend that your party wear vests. Additionally, vests have a more "finished" look than cummerbunds and tend to look better when gentlemen remove their tuxedo jackets during the reception. | – back to top | |

| What is the etiquette for wearing tailcoats? Tailcoats, often referred to as "tails," are the most formal of all formal attire. They are worn only after sundown, unless the event begins earlier but will extend into the evening. They usually require a white pique shirt, a white pique vest and a matching bow tie. | – back to top | |
|
| What is a cutaway coat? When do I wear a cutaway coat? Cutaway coats, also commonly referred to as "morning coats," are worn during the day and are not to be worn after sundown. These coats do not have satin lapels and are available in black and gray.
The gray coat is worn with gray striped slacks and is the traditional attire for morning weddings. The black coat is worn with black tuxedo slacks and is acceptable attire for any part of the day. | – back to top
|
| When can I wear a white dinner jacket? The usual timeframe for wearing white dinner jackets is Memorial Day through Labor Day, and a strict traditionalist would tell you that they should be worn only during the day, not in the evening. In fact, the traditionalist might even go so far as to tell you that if the event extends into the evening, you should change out of your white dinner jacket and into a black tuxedo coat at 5:00 or 6:00 P.M. However, as conventions today are less stringent than in the past, it is generally considered acceptable to wear a white jacket throughout the entire event.
If your wedding party members will be wearing white jackets, we recommend that you ask the gentlemen to bring their jackets to the wedding in clothing bags and have the wedding photographs taken before the ceremony. The white jackets attract everything that isn't white, like makeup, punch, food—you get the idea. | – back to top

| Who should wear a tuxedo at my wedding? A good rule of thumb is to have all the men you want in your wedding photos wear tuxedos. Obviously the groom and his attendants should be in tuxedos, but you should also consider other family members, including fathers, brothers and grandfathers, as well as the ushers.
You can also consider having any entertainers, photographers and videographers wear tuxedos as well. | – back to top

| Why should I rent shoes? Do you really want to leave it to chance that everyone in the wedding party will have the appropriate shoes to wear with their tuxedo? Make sure your wedding photos turn out perfectly by having every man in the wedding party wear matching shoes. | – back to top | |

| When can my tuxedo be picked up? The tuxedos arrive in the store two business days prior to the event date. As they arrive, the store will call the customer and have him come in for the final fitting. Earlier fittings are possible when the arrangements have been made prior to pick-up. | – back to top | |
|
| What happens if the tuxedo does not fit? Men's Wearhouse stores have a tailor shop on site for minor alterations (such as adjusting the sleeve or trouser length). In the event that an item needs to be re-ordered, Men's Wearhouse will do everything possible to arrange for the item to arrive in the store by the event date. | – back to top | |
