Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit I purchased these trousers to go with the matching jacket for my 13-year-old son. He is about 5'5" and about 110 pounds, very slender, and the size 14 with 29" inseam fit him perfectly, running true-to-size as listed on the size chart. Do note, however, that the matching jacket runs very small. We had to exchange the 14 jacket for a size 18.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sadly Disappointed First of all, let me say I do love MW and we have shopped there for over 11 years for my husband and have never had an issue. AND the quality of these suits are top notch. However, my son is a typical size 16 and has just now gotten into that size. Many are still big on him. These slacks are so oddly sized. He couldn't even zip them up all the way. I ordered them online, expecting a typical fit. So to exchange them because we needed them that weekend, we drove the 40 miles to a MW store. The 18 was an even odder fit. Way too big in the thighs, yet still tight around his back side. We ended up going with the 16 husky and then had to pay to alter them to actually fit right. My son has worn suits 3 times a week (sometimes more) since he was 2. I have never once had to pay to alter any suit of his. The extra time and money involved made this suit not worth it at all. I can not recommend this suit to anyone for that reason. The only "perfect fit" I could imagine is if your young man is very slim. The matching jacket did fit ok. It was very slightly tight around the shoulders, but I wasn't about to buy the next bigger size to have to pay for more altering so it'll have to do. Hope this helps someone.
