CASUAL TIPS

How to look great in casual wear.

  • Don’t dress for a casual date or a party in the same way as you would to clean out the garage or wash the car. Even dressed down, you want to be well-put together. The sexiest, most appealing guy isn’t necessarily the flashiest guy in the room, it’s the guy who owns his own style and is comfortable in his clothes.

  • Choose a casual shirt with character and personality, like plaid or stripes. Just make sure that the personality of the shirt fits your personality and your personal style.

  • Casual pants should be flat front pants. If you go for jeans, they should fit you perfectly and not have too many embellishments.

  • When you don’t know quite what to wear, the blazer is great. You can get dressed up, you can get dressed down. You can wear it with jeans, or a shirt and tie. It’s your 6th man off the bench, it’s your go to guy.

  • Want to dress up your jeans without the formality of a blazer or sport coat? The soft jacket is your best bet. With or without a tie, it’s always a casual look that looks great with jeans or chinos. There’s no tailoring required—it doesn’t need to fit like a glove. In fact, it’s the perfect alternative to lightweight outerwear on a cool evening.
